Presidency
Juan Reynoso Durand is president of Grupo Industrial Durandco (GID), a leading conglomerate in the Mexican oil and gas, energy, infrastructure and logistics sectors. He is also one of the founding partners and a member of the Board of Directors of GID.
From 2000 to 2016, Juan served as CEO of Blue Marine, overseeing all its lines of business, including Blue Marine Oil & Gas, Subtec and Blue Marine Shipping, the company with the largest fleet (by tonnage) in Mexico. He was responsible for building important strategic alliances with leading multinational companies such as BW Group, Schlumberger, Subsea7 and Maersk, among others.
Previously, from 2004 to 2006, he was primarily responsible for unprecedented growth in the industry and for several milestones, such as bringing the first FPSO to the Mexican oil and gas market.
Along with his brother Alfredo, Juan founded Blue Marine Technology Group in 2000, two years after starting a successful career in the oil and gas sector with Impresub, a company specialized in underwater services in the Gulf of Mexico.
Previously, Juan founded and chaired Comercializadora Reacsa, a company focused on the distribution of various goods to retailers and then REACSA, a provider of security systems, liability consulting and armored vehicles.
Juan is strongly committed to the communities in which the companies he leads work and do business. He founded and chairs the Durandco Foundation, an effort that strives to preserve local species, such as sea turtles, and provides scholarships for training maritime crews.
Juan Reynoso has a degree in business administration from the University of the Americas.
Alfredo Reynoso Durand is Co-President of Grupo Industrial Durandco (GID), a leading conglomerate in the Mexican oil and gas, energy, infrastructure and logistics sectors. He is also one of the founding partners and a member of the Board of Directors of GID.
Previously, Alfredo participated in different capacities, bringing several business opportunities to Blue Marine, the company that has the largest fleet by tonnage in Mexico. It has been a key player for the company in making important strategic alliances and closing the most important deals.
Along with his brother Juan, Alfredo founded Blue Marine Technology Group in 2000, two years after he began a prolific career in the Mexican oil and gas sector, with Impresub, a company specialized in pipes, industrial diving and underwater robots in the Gulf of Mexico.
A specialist in the field of International Relations, Alfredo is considered a true entrepreneur and builder of alliances, two elements that have allowed him to create several companies throughout his career with great success.
Alfredo has a master's degree in international political economy and a degree in business administration from the University of the Americas.
Management team
Emiliano Pescador Asaf is CEO of Blue Marine and responsible for all lines of business, including Blue Marine Shipping, Subtec and Blue Marine Oil & Gas. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Blue Marine and its holding Durandco Industrial Group.
Previously, from 2011 to 2015, Emiliano served as president of Technip Mexico, overseeing all business segments in the country: offshore, submarine and onshore.
In June 2012, Emiliano was appointed coordinator of the Mexican Chamber of Construction (CMIC) for the CMIC-PEMEX ERP Committee.
Prior to that, in 2002, Emiliano worked for Global Industries, Ltd., where he held various roles, from project manager to president for Brazil and South America BU. He began his career at ICA Fluor in 1997.
Emiliano has been founder and president of Nextia Energy LLC, since 2015, and served as director of Subsea 7 Mexico from 2015 to 2017.
He was named one of the “100 most influential people in the energy sector in Mexico” by the magazine Petroleum and Energy in its 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 editions.
Emiliano has a master's degree in business administration with an emphasis on international business from Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management in Phoenix, Arizona; he was part of the project management skills development program at the Technological and Autonomous Institute of Mexico (ITAM); he has a degree in industrial and systems engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM).
Samuel Rivas Sucarrats is CFO of Grupo Industrial Durandco (GID), a leading business conglomerate in the Mexican oil and gas, energy, infrastructure and logistics sectors. He is also a member of the GID Board of Directors.
With more than 25 years of experience in financial markets, Samuel is highly qualified in asset management, valuation and risk.
He worked for 20 years at Citigroup (1993-2003), where he served as head of Risk Management for Banamex-Asset Management, head of investments for Wealth Management Mexico and head of wealth management in Mexico City.
In 2006, he was responsible for designing the Risk Manager Certification for Industry, for the AMIB, the Mexican Association of Stock Exchange Institutions.
From 2013 to 2016, he worked for the UBS bank as head of wealth management in Mexico City.
Samuel has a master's degree in business administration from the University of Texas and a degree in business administration from Anahuac University.
René Rendón Garza is COO of Grupo Industrial Durandco (GID), a leading business conglomerate in the Mexican oil and gas, energy, infrastructure and logistics sectors. He is also a member of the GID Board of Directors.
René joined GID in 2011 and has had various roles within the Group and Blue Marine since then. He served as director of strategic planning at Blue Marine, where he participated efficiently in the acquisition of assets and structuring the most important projects for the company's lines of business.
In addition, in 2016, he served as CEO of Blue Marine Oil & Gas, a company specialized in offshore oil production and storage, and which developed the acquisition and operation of highly equipped and advanced technology FPSO vessels. Among his responsibilities, René led the negotiations and construction of the Blue Eagle FPSO, which was delivered in 2021.
Before working at GID, René was general director of infrastructure projects for the water and energy sectors of the Mexican presidency. He also worked at the Mexican Ministry of Finance in several high-level positions, such as assistant general director of project control in the energy sector and director of hydrocarbon projects, among others.
René has a doctorate in economics with a specialization in public finance and a master's degree in economics from Georgia State University. In addition, he published “Global Corporate Tax Competition”, a book aimed at public finance professionals, economists, researchers and politicians.
Paulo Carreño King is Executive Director of Grupo Industrial Durandco (GID) Corporate Governance, a leading business conglomerate in the Mexican oil and gas, energy, infrastructure and logistics sectors. He is also a member of the GID Board of Directors.
Paulo was General Director of ProMéxico from 2017 to 2018, an agency responsible for attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to Mexico and promoting exports. From 2016 to 2017, he served as Undersecretary for North America in the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
From 2015 to 2016, Paulo was appointed by the Mexican Presidency as the first Country Brand Coordinator.
Previously, Paulo held several high-level positions in the financial and banking sectors. He served for eight years as Executive Director of Institutional Relations at Grupo Financiero Banamex and was, from 2013 to 2015, Spokesperson for Citigroup in Mexico.
He also chaired the Communications, Marketing and Social Responsibility Committee of the Mexican Banking Association during the periods 2013-2014 and 2014-2015.
From 2001 to 2007, Paulo ran his own Strategic Communications company and Lobbying. Early in his career, he was an associate and executive director of crisis and media management at BursonMarsteller.
Paulo is a member of the Faculty of the Institute of Public Administration and the Ibero-American University. He has a Master's degree in Public International Law from the University of Leiden, the Netherlands and a degree in English Studies Writing from Columbia University; he has a law degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana.
Gabrielle Karim Pérez Henríquez is director of staff, organizational development and human capital at Grupo Industrial Durandco (GID), a leading business conglomerate in the Mexican oil and gas, energy, infrastructure and logistics sectors. He is also a member of the GID Board of Directors.
Gabrielle has focused on comprehensively developing and implementing the organizational development and human capital management strategy, from attracting talent to managing disengagement, always in strict accordance with the Group's processes, values and goals.
With 12 years of experience in the business world, Gabrielle has demonstrated her ability to fully approach the human resources cycle, from strategy to transactional operation.
Before joining GID, Gabrielle held the position of human resources manager at Laboratori Tornel SA de CV, and played key roles in multinational companies such as GlaxoSmithKline México de C.V. and GlaxoSmithKline Venezuela S.A., leading the acquisition of talent, the design of training and development programs, and the implementation of initiatives to improve organizational culture.
Gabrielle has a degree in pedagogical sciences from the Andrés Bello Catholic University, specializing in advanced evaluation of corporate processes. In addition, he has carried out training in executive consulting, competence evaluation, advanced instructional design and institutional branding.
